Buddleia davidii is a fast-growing and easy to maintain shrub. It likes a sunny position in well drained soil. The flowers display for around 2 months in summer so provides good colour for the garden attracting lots of butterflies and has earned itself the nick name Butterfly tree.
It grows rapidly and needs cutting right down every year in Autumn for a good bushy shrub/tree.
