BRIGHT YELLOW FLOWERS

A great border plant.

A great shrub, easy to maintain for filling large gardens. ( or sell in boot sales!) The flowers change colour during the year from yellow to pinks etc. 

Fairly frequent at low altitudes in open scrub, beside paths, or on bare ground.

Flowers c 20 mm long.  Pods 2.5-4 cm

Skye ID: Bush of similar appearance to Gorse but spineless.

Other features:  Branches green, 5-angled.  Leaves composed of 3 leaflets, or the upper ones simple, falling early in year.  Pods black when ripe, exploding noisily in summer sun.  Garden forms may have larger or variably coloured flowers and often occur as escapes, usually not far from houses.

Seed come with instructions.
