Acer Palmatum Elegans.   A most elegantly colourful Japanese acer.

Acer palmatum 'Elegans' has pretty, serrated mid-green leaves, which turn a beautiful orange-red before falling in autumn. It's perfect for a small garden or even a large container.

For best results, grow Acer palmatum 'Elegans' in sun or partial shade, and protect it from the harshest winds, which may cause leaf scorch.

Height up to 4m  and 3m spread. Can be pruned to be smaller.

Likes North, east or west facing.  Full sun or partial shade.

Likes most well-drained soils
